About This Project:
I was approached by a young entrepreneur who was in need of a logo design for her new hair salon. She wanted her logo to represent her professionalism, along with her salon's phone number. I was tasked to create her business logo, business/appointment cards, and her social media profile and cover images.

Challenges:
The main challenge with this design was trying to find a good balance between the floral elements without them overwhelming the typography of the logo. The key was striking a good balance overall.

Solution:
Rather than using a heavily detailed flower, like a rose, I decided to go with a more simplified lotus with flourishes to embellish the typography. The flower centered in between the two flourishes also represents the namesake - 'Hilltop'. I wanted to further express a professional feel with the color palette, so I chose cool blues and warm grays.
